Building Your Social and Professional Network
Here are some tools that will better enable you to expand both your social and professional networks. These tools, if used, can be a great resource to you as an educator! This page is divided into two sections: links to the tools, and a section to share your contact information for these tools. Of course all of these are optional.

Twitter - is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. (Wikipedia)
Second Life - is a 3D, virtual world that is great for collaboration. Read Wikipedia's article to learn more. Skype - is software that allows users to make telephone calls over the Internet. Calls to other users of the service and to free-of-charge numbers are free, while calls to other landlines and mobile phones can be made for a fee.
